International Conference on Material Science and Technology (IMSTEC’21)
Organized by Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli University (Department of Metallurgy and Material Engineering), the 6th edition of the International Conference on Material Science and Technology (IMSTEC) took place in Cappadocia, Turkey from the 26th to the 28th of November.
Its purpose was to present current research being carried out in the areas of Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mining Engineering, and Physics and Chemistry. Having that in mind, it was meant for scientists, scholars, engineers and students from universities, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from all around the world.
IMSTEC 2021 provided great opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and applications experiences, as well as to establish business or research relations.
ASAS Aluminium A.S., one of RETROFEED’s consortium partners, presented the “Development of Decision Support System based on Machine Learning and Digital Twin models for aluminium melting furnaces”, which the main goal is to increase the performance of aluminium melting furnaces by novel monitoring and control system and implement O2 injector and burner heads to increase the amount of scrap feedstock.
